Who We Are – Porter Academy

Helping Students Succeed For Over A Decade

At Porter Academy, we are committed to helping our students succeed. To help ensure that every child gets the attention and care they deserve, we have assembled a staff of highly skilled and educated teachers who always treat students with the utmost respect and compassion. Unlike traditional classrooms that have an exceedingly high student to teacher ratio, we believe students succeed best when there are small class sizes that emphasize student and teacher bonding and communication. Our teachers are all committed to giving each child what they deserve: a real opportunity to succeed. We recognize each child is unique in their talents, abilities, and challenges, and we always work toward finding creative ways to help children excel in the classroom and beyond.

Our History

In 2000, Claudia Porter took her training and experience as an educator and speech-language pathologist and formed The Porter School. The mission was to create an environment where children with learning differences could succeed and feel good about themselves.

Over a decade and a half later, the mission remains the same. As the school has grown, The Porter School became Porter Academy and today proudly offers Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our students and their parents can testify to our unique approach and proven success.
